Effective August 1, 2024, Holger Schmitt will be relocating to Wisconsin for a two-year expatriate assignment. Holger will be relocating together with his wife, Edina, and daughter Isabel to city, WI.
Holger’s relocation to the United States is intended to bring Product Line leadership much closer to the core teams in Phillips, Sheboygan and New Berlin. With key Sales, Product Line and Product Management leaders physically located in Europe, this move will bring Product Line Leadership closer to the important U.S. market and will drive better alignment across our Folio Sheeting and WebFed cross-functional teams.
Holger joined BWP in November 2021 as White and Blue Product Line Leader. Holger is responsible for advancing our competitive position in White and Blue markets, as well as, growing our top line and improving product margins. Holger is directly responsible for our Engineering and Product Management teams across these important product lines. The scope of Holger’s role remains unchanged during the expatriate assignment. He currently resides near Stuttgart and regularly travels between our sites in Hamburg, Stuttgart and Sheboygan. Holger will continue to report to me.
Prior to joining BWP, Holger worked for Krones AG and Voith Paper KG, gaining extensive experience in Product Management within the Paper Industry.
